ADHD assessment: $399 for your first visit ($299 if you pay before finishing your assessment), then $49 a month for ongoing care. Avora fees are not covered by OHIP.
Other care: Free questions, then $49 for a clinician review, whether or not medication is prescribed. Ongoing care is $49 a month.
Medication: If prescribed, your medication is billed separately by the pharmacy that fills it. You choose the pharmacy and can ask about the cost before it is filled.

Ways to help cover medication costs.

A private or workplace plan: Your plan has its own list of covered medications. Your insurer or pharmacist can help you check the cost before a prescription is filled.; If you have a benefits plan
Ontario Drug Benefit: You may also qualify through Ontario Works, ODSP, long-term care or eligible home care. The program covers medications on its approved list.; Adults 65+ and other eligible groups
OHIP+: If you have OHIP and no private plan, OHIP+ covers eligible medications until your 25th birthday. You do not need to apply.; Under 25 without a private plan
Trillium Drug Program: You can apply if medication costs are high compared with your household income. A deductible applies. Ontario's checker can help you explore eligibility.; If medication costs are high for your income
Paying directly: You can ask the pharmacy for a price before deciding to fill a prescription. Costs can vary between medications and pharmacies.; Anyone

Questions about paying for care.

Does OHIP cover my prescription?

A health card alone does not cover most prescriptions filled outside hospital. You may qualify for an Ontario drug program, such as OHIP+, Ontario Drug Benefit or Trillium. A private plan may also help.

Is Avora's fee covered by OHIP?

Avora fees are paid privately. Your workplace or private plan may reimburse part of the cost. We can provide a receipt so you can check with your provider.

Can I see the medication price before deciding?

Yes. The dispensing pharmacy shares the price before you agree to fill your prescription. You can also choose another pharmacy.

Can you bill my insurer directly?

We do not bill insurers directly yet. We provide a receipt for you to submit to your plan.
